Charlie Sherman's PledgePage

Hi my name is Charlie Sherman and I am 8 years old. I live in Pennsylvania and the one thing I love more than anything else is BASEBALL! I have been playing for 6 years, yes I started at 2, I played Itty Bitty T-Ball for The Mets. (That's my Dad's favorite team).

A couple of weeks ago I sat down with my Mom and watched on the News the horrible tsunami that hit Japan, and I was very sad. Before that I didn't know what devastation the Ocean could cause. I was both scared and sad for all the people of Japan and their families. We also talked about it in my school with our teachers. We learned more about earthquakes and tsunamis and what it's going to take to rebuild Japan. I really wanted to help! I saw recently how a girl painted pictures to sell to raise money, and another boy deliver flowers he grew. But, I'm not a really good artist and I don't grow things, but as I said I do LOVE baseball and I AM good at that! So after talking to my Mom and Dad and asking them if there was any way I could help Japan with my baseball skills, they agreed to help me!!! I am so excited to do this, I am asking for your help, to help me, help Japan :) As this new Baseball season starts (April 23) I am hoping to get pledges for every hit I get and every strike out I get(I am my teams Pitcher) to help send to the Red Cross in hopes to help all I can in Japan! Nothing is to small, if we all open up our hearts we can make a difference. Thank you so much!
